Pastor’s Profile
The Pastor of our Church is David Patterson. He was inducted into the Pastorate of Donaghadee in January 2003. David is married to Joan and they have three children Gareth (21), Andrew (12) and Judith (7).
David was brought up in a Christian home near Portadown and was converted to Christ as a boy of nine following a Children’s meeting in the Church where the family attended. David attended the Baptist Church in Stonepark for a few years before moving to Tandragee Baptist Church where he was baptised by the late Pastor McGilton. On becoming a member David served as a Deacon and later as Treasurer up until he entered the ministry.
After school David entered the service of the Northern Bank where he served for twelve years ending his career as an Assistant Agricultural Manager in 1991 to answer the call of God to prepare for fulltime Pastoral work. He took up theological and Pastoral studies at the Irish Baptist College graduating with a Bachelor of Theology degree in 1994.
Following His training David became an Assistant Pastor in Banbridge Baptist Church and in May 1995 responded to a call to take up the Pastorate in the Dundonald Baptist Church.
Since coming to Donaghadee God has graciously bound Pastor and people together and we are looking forward to continue serving the Lord together for His glory in the building up of the saints and in the salvation sinners.
